Who Needs Post-Licensing?
In Mississippi, you have one year from the time you receive your temporary license to complete the post-licensing process. Each state has its own requirements, but in general, "post-licensing" is the process you must complete between your initial temporary license and receiving your permanent real estate agent license. "Continuing education," on the other hand, refers to a required number of courses agents must complete annually. Between post-licensing and continuing education, Mississippi agents get a "bonus" year, and begin continuing education two years from the date they received their license.
