Roots in Mississippi
MREI Online got its start in 2005 when Dave Davis, having retired from a thirty-year career in real estate trial law, decided the life of leisure left too much time on his hands. He connected with Doug Maselle, at Century 21 Maselle –– who knew that having a market full of highly-qualified agents benefitted every real estate agency in Mississippi. Together, they founded Maselle Career College –– an educational institution dedicated to providing top-of-the-line licensing and continuing education courses to prospective and established real estate professionals.
Life’s a Journey
Maselle Career College followed the dips and turns of the real estate market … and eventually followed Dave on a move to Texas, where MCC shifted to an all-digital format. Here we continued to raise the bar in real estate education by developing an innovative dual-delivery instructional format, incorporating audio narration with written material to improve accessibility and retention across learning styles. We also partnered with CE Shop to begin offering courses across the country.
In 2021 Maselle Career College was merged into Maselle Career Institute, and for 2022 we prepared a new website and logo: MASELLE REAL ESTATE INSTITUTE, or MREI Online.
This year, we are getting back to our Mississippi roots –– reintroducing LIVE online instruction for our pre-licensing courses in MS only at a special introductory rate: $250 per registration (that’s 40% off the regular price of $400), Summer 2022 only. Familiar Faces
We’ve also expanded our roster of instructors. MREI is proud to announce that Mr. Lee Gilliland, one of the most prominent real estate instructors and trainers, has joined our team to direct our live class online, starting May 30th, and in the physical classroom, opening later this year. Jimmy Jones, whom real estate agents and brokers may know from his work coaching new agents at Century 21 Maselle, will also be joining us to offer top real estate instruction and training to Mississippi real estate agents.
